Our practice was founded in 1942  by Dr. Paul Cusick and was brought to the forefront when he became the first ophthalmologist to perform cataract surgery on television. He was joined by  Dr. Michael Michael and several other notable ophthalmologists over the years who were early pioneers in cataract surgery, also employing skilled optometrists to provide services to a budding contact lens industry. Following the move of Providence Hospital from Detroit to Southfield and its expansion to Novi, we have maintained two offices conveniently located adjacent to both of these Providence Ascension Hospitals.

Our physicians, Mary J. Elnick, M.D., Tobias George, M.D., and Dr. Sayeeda Fatima, M.D. have  years of experience treating complex and routine eye diseases, including,  Cataracts, Glaucoma, and Diabetes, and perform surgery at Providence Hospital, Novi Surgical Center and Straith Hospital.  Our Optometrists, Dr. Ken Stein and Dr. Chris Theodoroff, provide  eye health screening for adults and children and specialize in prescribing eye glasses and soft and gas permeable contact lenses.   Our aim is to provide excellent eye care to you and your family in a compassionate and supportive environment .  We accept Medicare, VSP, and most standard health and vision insurance plans.
